"Life is an endless struggle full of frustrations and challenges, but eventually you find a hair stylist you like."

I have NEEDED a haircut (or trim) forever. Running really takes a toll on the locks. On on hand having damaged hair is good, it actually keeps curl, but I prefer to keep the split ends to a minimum. I am one of those people who gets a hair cut maybe once or twice a year....yes it is that bad. The only time in my life I went frequently was when I was blond, to keep the roots away.. So I asked my pals on Facebook for some recommendations of a good local hair stylists and I am excited to make an appointment..
The question is... Should I stay long? Or chop it off? It may be long enough to donate...but I am not sure that it is healthy enough.. (Amanda do you have info on that?) Anyhow, I will be making a decision SOON..

I say chop it off! I was having problems with my hair on runs so I recently cut it off. (I, too, only get it cut twice a year) It is so short that I have to wear 2 ponytails to keep it up, but it is so much lighter!
So exciting. I am one for growing out my hair until I can't stand it any longer and then chopping it all off. I also don't go to get my hair cut very often. I can't wait to see what you do :)
I LOVE my short hair Mel:) Amy S., her family, my mom, sister and I all go to the same stylist...and she just relocated to Puyallup:) Let me know if you want her name:P
I think it's somewhere between 8-10 inches (i can't remember now!). My hubby loves my hair long...but I have REALLY thick hair..so I love it when I cut it off. I like to grow it long in the winter and then chop it off in the summer! You will look beautiful either way! Can't wait to see what you decide!
I love your longer hair! I cute mine a year ago to my china nd have regretted it ever since! LOL! Now its down beloe my shoulders and I can't wait for it to grow long like yours! LOL! If you cut it, send it to me so I can superglue it to my hair!
